What is Excel V+ Laser treatment?
The Cutera Excel V is a versatile laser system that can treat more than 20 different types of skin discoloration and vascular skin conditions.
The Cutera Excel V treats skin concerns with two wavelengths:
- 532 nm wavelength works to target superficial vascular lesions like rosacea, redness, and spider veins.
- 1064 nm wavelength works to treat deeper, darker vascular lesions, such as veins around the legs and eyes.
What conditions are usually treated with Excel V+ Laser?
The Excel V + Laser can treat over 20 conditions including sun spots, age spots, rosacea, poikiloderma, facial veins, leg veins, acne scars, port-wine stains, cherry angiomas, and scars. It’s safe for all skin types and skin tones.
Is the treatment painful and how many treatments will I need before I see results?
Excel V treatments can feel similar like a flicking against the skin, however depending on the treatment, a cooled treatment tip can be utilised to provide maximum comfort to the area.
Most treatments only require 1-3 sessions; however the number of treatments will vary depending on your skin concern and ideal outcome. Your skin and laser therapist will help develop a personalised skin treatment plan during your skin consultation.
Is there any downtime?
With Excel V laser treatment, many patients experience few if any adverse side effects. The most commonly noticed side effects include slight swelling and reddening of the skin.
How long will the results last?
While most results from Excel V+ are permanent, repeat treatments may be necessary as soon as between 6 and 12 months as the skin produces more vessels and pigmentations.
