HYPERHYDROSIS
Hyperhidosis – otherwise known as excessive sweating – can be disruptive, difficult and embarrassing.
Luckily there are treatments available to calm down your perspiration. Our clients have achieved excellent relief from excessive sweating in the underarms, face and more. Through professionally administered treatments, patients can stop sweating the small stuff and get back to their lives feeling dry and confident.
Botulinum toxin injections block the release of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, which binds with your sweat glands to signal the release of sweat.  Normally, your nervous system activates your sweat glands when your body temperature rises, this is how your body automatically cools itself.  In people with hyperhidrosis, however, the nerves that signal the sweat glands are overactive.
When you receive Botulinum toxin injections directly into the area of your body that commonly sweats, your overactive nerves are essentially inhibited and can’t signal your sweat glands, so you don’t sweat
What Occurs During Treatment?
Botulinum toxin injections are used for treating hyperhydrosis. Treatment is performed via a series of small injections under the arms directly into the sweating region. The effect is generally seen in 2-4 days and lasts 4-9 months (average 5-6).
How Effective Is This Treatment?
Studies in axillary hyperhidrosis (excessive underarm sweating) have shown a reduction in sweating of approximately 75%.
